36 INDIA'S HYDROCARBON OUTLOOK 2024-2025
• Overview of producing fields:
Commercial production in shallow water area
commenced in 1976. Major producing fields
with cumulative production in parenthesis are
namely Mumbai High (534 MMT, 226 BCM),
Heera & South Heera (80 MMT, 23 BCM), Bassein
& SB-11 (39 MMT, 290 BCM), Neelam (39 MMT, 16
BCM). The area has 26 fields with 1,747 producing
wells. The maximum flow rates achieved by any
field on record are Oil 127,994 BOPD and Gas 10
MMSCMD.
• Basin datasets and studies:
As of 31.03.2025, NDR has archived primary
datasets of 229,348 LKM 2D seismic, 115,269 SKM
3D seismic and 4,807 conventional wells (1,144
exploratory). Multiple flavours of reprocessed
seismic datasets are also archived whenever the
same are provided by E&P Operators.
