• Basin datasets and studies:
As of 31.03.2025, NDR has archived primary
datasets of 142,029 LKM 2D seismic, 18,896
SKM 3D seismic and 22 conventional wells (all
exploratory). Multiple flavours of reprocessed
seismic datasets are also archived whenever the
same are provided by E&P Operators.
The basin has 12 gas hydrate wells that were
drilled under National Gas Hydrate Programme
(NGHP).
The basin has been identified for drilling of one
stratigraphic well under the GoI-approved plan.
The basin is currently studied by University of
Houston, Texas, USA.
