• Overview of producing fields:
Commercial production in onland area
commenced in 1986. Major producing fields with
cumulative production in parenthesis are namely
Narimanam (3.6 MMT, 1 BCM), Kanjirangudi (5.5
BCM), Periyapattinam (4.4 BCM), Kuthalam (3.7
BCM), Kamalapuram (2 MMT, 0.6 BCM). The
area has 26 fields with 243 producing wells. The
maximum flow rates achieved by any field on
record are Oil 1,320 BOPD and Gas 2 MMSCMD.
Commercial production in shallow water area
commenced in 1997. Major producing fields
with cumulative production in parenthesis are
namely PY-3 (3 MMT). The area has 2 fields with
2 producing wells. The maximum flow rates
achieved by any field on record are Oil 4 BOPD.
• Basin datasets and studies:
As of 31.03.2025, NDR has archived primary
datasets of 111,592 LKM 2D seismic, 51,003 SKM
3D seismic and 872 conventional wells (641
exploratory). Multiple flavour of reprocessed
seismic datasets are also archived whenever the
same are provided by E&P Operators.
